Billpaulin Basses are unique hand-made electric nd semi-acoustic upright basses made in Australia and available only from the maker or from Bresque Basses in Sydney.

Correctly weighted, with double-bass neck profile, built to feel like a real double bass, without the bulk. These basses sit nicely against your body when you play.

Every bass is beautifully different; what you expect from a hand-made instrument.

Bill Paulin's first model electric upright bass;

 

This one, available for demonstration in Sydney, has a Western Red Cedar top with Victorian Blackwood fingerboard and peg box veneers. Jarrah body rest and Maple bridge on Arco fingerboard with D’Addario Helicore Hybrid strings. Plain nut and plain peg box with Hipshot tuners.

The Paulin Mark 2 has a larger body with single sound hole and conventional tailpiece for an improved acoustic sound.
